Green ButterflyEnd-of-Life Doula & Grief CoachClarity. Comfort. Connection.
I believe we can talk openly about difficult things without making every moment heavy.
Green Butterfly supports people planning ahead, facing serious illness or death, caring for someone they love, or living with grief. I offer practical and emotional support shaped by what matters to you.
Death and grief can bring practical questions, difficult conversations, changing roles, and a lot of uncertainty. Green Butterfly offers space to talk about what’s on your mind, make plans, and get support without judgment or pressure.
I won’t tell you what your experience should look like or promise to make a difficult situation easy. I can offer honest conversation, practical help, and a steady presence while you consider choices, ask questions, care for someone, or live with loss.
Fear, sadness, frustration, humor, love, relief, and even joy can exist in the same experience.
You don’t have to wait for a crisis to start planning. We can talk through care wishes, family conversations, vigil and funeral preferences, legacy ideas, and the details you want documented.
Support may include companionship, caregiver support, family conversations, information about the dying process, bedside guidance, vigil presence, and immediate next steps after a death.
Grief coaching offers practical support with navigating change, communication, and difficult moments. Grief can be connected to death, caregiving, illness, or other changes that alter the life you knew.

Hi, I’m Jill, an end-of-life doula and grief coach in Oklahoma City. I’ve been interested in death, dying, and grief for much of my life. Hospice volunteering gave that interest direction and inspired me to learn more. I completed end-of-life doula and grief coaching certifications, then became a certified nursing assistant to deepen my understanding of hospice and bedside care. I now work at the inpatient hospice where I first volunteered.
Before hospice, I spent more than 20 years in the nonprofit world and earned a master’s degree in psychology. Those experiences strengthened the skills I bring to this work: listening closely, explaining complicated information clearly, staying steady when emotions are high, and helping people identify what matters most to them.
My mom died in 2008, and the connection I still feel with her is part of the story behind Green Butterfly. As I began questioning whether end-of-life doula work was the right path for me, I asked her for a very specific sign in a completely unexpected place. A few weeks later, I absentmindedly picked up a card in a local shop. When I looked down, I realized a green butterfly was pinned to it—the exact sign I had asked for. I was already doing this work, but that moment confirmed the direction I was moving and gave Green Butterfly its name.

No. I provide nonmedical support alongside hospice, healthcare providers, spiritual care, funeral professionals, and the people already in your life. I do not direct medical care.
Not at all. I welcome people of all beliefs and backgrounds. My support is guided by what matters to you.
We'll spend up to 30 minutes together, in person or virtually, talking about what's happening, answering questions, and deciding whether working together feels like a good fit.
In-person support is available in northwest Oklahoma City, Edmond, and nearby areas. Other locations may be considered based on distance and availability. Phone and video support are also available, including virtual services outside Oklahoma when appropriate.
You don't need to know exactly what you're looking for before reaching out. Have a question? Want to share a little about what's going on? Let's start there. We can talk through what matters most and see how I might be able to help.
